Lucknow: After the disputed structure of Gyanvapi in Kashi, now a petition has been filed in the court for videography and survey in the Shahi EEidgah disputed structure in Mathura. Along with this application, details of the survey and videography issued under the supervision of the court-appointed Advocate General in the disputed structure of the stable Gyanvapi temple complex have also been submitted. It has been said that on the same lines, the process of the survey should be completed by appointing an Advocate General here also.

The petition has been filed by advocate Mahendra Pratap. He has said that after visiting the Shahi Eidgah Mosque complex, the evidence of Hindu symbols like lotus, conch shell, mace, Om and Swastik should be produced before the court. The matter will be heard on Tuesday (May 10, 2022). Earlier also, advocate Mahendra Pratap had made such a demand before the court. A petition was filed in Mathura in December 2021. The petition had sought a ban on prayers at the Shahi Eidgah Mosque in the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi complex. The petition was filed by the 'Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Andolan Samiti.' Lawyer Mahendra Pratap is the head of the organisation, who says that namaz was not offered at the Eidgah, but it has been deliberately started to offer prayers five times. He called it the property of Hindus.

At the same time, the Shahi Eidgah Mosque Management Committee says that no documents related to the 13.37 acres of land on which the Hindu side is claiming have been produced in the court. The Muslim side claimed that the suit was not worth hearing. Now all eyes are on tomorrow's hearing. A major decision of the local court in the Mathura case may also come on May 19. Advocate Ranjana Agnihotri had demanded the removal of the Shahi Eidgah Mosque built by Aurangzeb.
