VADODARA/DAHEJ: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Sunday that economic reforms would carry on and the government would uphold financial stability though set off these procedures.
"After the reforms and firm decisions, the economy of the country is on right path and direction... We will take all essential steps to increase investments and to get economic development," Modi said while addressing a rally in Dahej. He said a number of economists have expressed the fundamentals of the economy as vigorous.
In the industrial town of Dahej in Bharuch PM Modi inaugurated Ro-Ro ferry service in Ghogha, Bhavnagar, Modi said financial stability of the country would keep up while kick off reforms.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had attacked Modi during his recent campaign in Gujarat after economic growth slowed to a three-year-low of 5.7% in the June quarter.
"Looking at the current figures, the manufacturing of coal, electricity, natural gas and other items has improved extensively. Foreign investors are making enormous investments in the country. Foreign exchange reserves too have reached $400 billion,” PM Modi stressed.
In Vadodara, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 3,600 crore, Modi made an indirect appeal to people of Gujarat to ensure that the government at the Centre and state remain the same. While Modi did not say this in a straight line, Modi pointed out that the state had developed well when there was conducive leadership in the Centre.
The PM said the state should not fail to spot the opportunity to capitalize on a government in Delhi that does not hate the state.
PM further added that the state government had been laid project after project before the Centre.
"This creates chances and projects in the vein of the Ro-Ro ferry service become possible," said PM Modi during inauguration of the Ghogha-Dahej ferry service.
