New Delhi: Respect for women power is paramount for any society, to spread this sentiment to the people, Women's Day is being celebrated in the country today. On this occasion, many veterans including President Ramnath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath have saluted the women power.

PM Modi tweeted and wrote, 'On the occasion of International Women's Day, he salutes the women power. Women have brought laurels to the country and touched the highs, India is proud of that. It is a matter of good luck for our government that we are working for women power. President Ramnath Kovind wrote in his tweet that 'My heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen on the occasion of International Women's Day. Women of our country are setting new records of achievements in many fields. Come today, all of us, take collective pledge to completely eliminate inequality between women and men.

At the same time, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has written in his tweet that 'UP government is committed for the protection, respect, self-reliance and all round upgradation of the women's power of the state. In the same sequence, the second phase of 'Mission Shakti' is being launched today on the occasion of International Women's Day.
