Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently shared exciting news about India's railway sector, revealing that the launch of the country's first bullet train is just around the corner. During a video address for the inauguration of several rail projects, Modi highlighted the growing demand for high-speed trains and the significant transformation the Railways have undergone under his leadership.
In his address, Modi pointed out that the Indian Railways has experienced a historic shift over the past decade, playing a key role in boosting the country's image and uplifting the morale of its citizens. He was joined at the event by chief ministers from Telangana, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir, along with other prominent dignitaries.
Emphasizing the public's increasing desire to cut travel time, Modi remarked that over 136 Vande Bharat trains are now operational across more than 50 routes, with one of the latest trial runs achieving speeds of 180 kilometers per hour. The Prime Minister also discussed India's strides in improving connectivity as a key milestone for the new year. He referred to it as a major achievement in "new-age connectivity," enhancing access to numerous regions across the country.

Underlining the vision of "sabka sath, sabka vikas" (together with all, development for all), Modi stressed that the modernization of infrastructure, the improvement of passenger amenities, the expansion of connectivity, and the creation of job opportunities are the core principles driving the development of India's rail sector.
Modi further provided updates on the expansion of India's Metro network and the ongoing reforms within the Indian Railways, underscoring the government’s commitment to transforming the country's transportation infrastructure.
