New Delhi: During the 103rd edition of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' campaign, aimed at honoring the sacrifice of brave men and women who laid down their lives for the nation. The campaign will involve various programs across the country to commemorate these immortal martyrs.

As part of the initiative, special inscriptions will be installed in lakhs of village panchayats across India to pay tribute to these luminaries. Additionally, an "Amrit Kalash Yatra" will be conducted, carrying soil from every corner of the country in 7500 urns to Delhi. The yatra will also carry saplings from different regions, and a symbolic "Amrit Vatika" will be created near the National War Memorial by blending the soil and saplings from the urns. PM Modi emphasized that this Amrit Vatika will symbolize the spirit of "Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat" (One India, Great India).

In his address, PM Modi also commended the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel for their valiant efforts in rescuing individuals affected by floods and torrential rainfall this year. He lauded the collective efforts of the citizens in dealing with various natural calamities that have struck different parts of the country.

PM Modi also shared the news of America returning over a hundred rare and ancient artifacts to India, dating back 2500 to 250 years. These artifacts, made from terracotta, stone, metal, and wood, hail from different regions of India and include a mesmerizing sandstone sculpture of an "Apsara" dancing, originally from Madhya Pradesh.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister praised the women of Uttarakhand for preserving the traditional cultural heritage of "Bhojpatra." He highlighted their efforts in crafting beautiful artifacts and souvenirs using Bhojpatra, the same material on which ancient scriptures and books were preserved, including the Mahabharata.

In addition to cultural initiatives, PM Modi also shared India's remarkable achievement in combating drug trafficking. The country successfully seized and destroyed approximately 1.5 lakh kg of drugs and set a unique record of destroying 10 lakh kg of drugs, demonstrating its commitment to combating the drug menace.
