New Delhi: The Morning Consult, the Global Leader Approval Tracker (Morning Consult), which is present in the US, has released the approval rating of global leaders. This time, PM Narendra Modi's rating is the highest and he remains the most popular leader in the world with a 77 per cent approval rating. On March 18, Morning Consultant Political Intelligence released its new data. It said that Prime Minister Modi's approval rating is the highest among leaders of 13 countries. This shows how much the PM's popularity is.

In the survey conducted by the same research company, Prime Minister Modi tops the list of 13 world leaders with a 77 per cent approval rating. Then comes Mexico's Andres Manuel López Obrador, whose approval rating is 63 percent. Italy's Maria Draghi has an approval rating of 54 per cent. Japan's Fumio Kishida has received an approval rating of 45 percent. Prime Minister Modi's disapproval rating is also the lowest at 17 per cent. The data shows that the Indian PM remained the most popular global leader for most months from January 2020 to March 2022. The latest approval ratings are based on data collected from March 9 to 15, 2022.

In the last two years, on May 2, 2020, Prime Minister Modi's approval rating reached a high of 84 per cent. Due to the second wave of corona infection in the country, his approval rating was the lowest on May 7, 2021, with 63 per cent. However, prime minister Modi's approval rating has been relatively high compared to that of more or less other global leaders. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and US President Joe Biden have received approval ratings of 42 per cent and 41 per cent, respectively. Thus, both the leaders are in the sixth and seventh positions respectively. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is at the bottom of the leaders surveyed with a 33 percent approval rating.
