Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the 200th-anniversary celebrations of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Vadtal, Gujarat, emphasized the need for India to become self-reliant, or "atmanirbhar," to secure its place as a developed nation. He highlighted the ongoing attempts by certain elements to divide society along various lines—caste, religion, language, and gender—and urged the nation to unite against such divisive forces.

"The challenge is real, and we must understand its seriousness," said PM Modi. "We need to come together and work as one. Our youth must be empowered to be strong, capable, and educated. For India to become developed, we must invest in the future of our young generation."

PM Modi pointed out that the world’s demand for skilled Indian youth, particularly in sectors like IT, is growing. "When I meet world leaders, many express interest in the skilled youth of India. They want our youth to contribute to their countries, which is a testament to the capabilities of India's young workforce," he said.

In his speech, the Prime Minister also stressed the importance of national unity and integrity, particularly as India approaches its goal of development over the next 25 years. Drawing from the teachings of Swaminarayan Bhagwan, who came at a crucial time in India's history, he emphasized the need to strengthen the nation’s spiritual and cultural roots.

"Lord Swaminarayan gave us new strength at a time when India was weakened by foreign rule," PM Modi said. "His arrival not only renewed our spiritual energy but also revived our self-respect as a nation."

While addressing the anniversary event via video conference, PM Modi noted that the teachings of saints and sages have been instrumental in shaping India's cultural consciousness. He also expressed pride in the ongoing legacy of Vadtal Dham, where the spiritual essence of Lord Swaminarayan continues to guide millions.

As part of the celebrations, the Prime Minister acknowledged the Government of India's gesture to commemorate this significant milestone with a Rs 200 silver coin and a special stamp. He further emphasized that Vadtal Dham has played a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual and social fabric of the nation.

Concluding his address, PM Modi reiterated that the teachings of Lord Swaminarayan must continue to inspire future generations in their quest for service to humanity and nation-building.
