New Delhi:: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a momentous step towards empowering the nation's youth by distributing more than 51,000 appointment letters to freshly appointed recruits during the 'Rozgar Mela' conducted via video conferencing on Thursday.

Addressing the newly inducted individuals, PM Modi emphasized, "These appointment letters signify your dedication and exceptional abilities. You are set to become an integral part of our nation's development, directly engaged in serving our people."

The 'Rozgar Mela' initiative was launched by Prime Minister Modi on October 22 last year, marking the commencement of a campaign aimed at providing 10 lakh government jobs.

Speaking directly to the new recruits, PM Modi highlighted, "As employees of the Government of India, you shoulder significant responsibilities. Regardless of your role or field, your foremost objective should be enhancing the quality of life for our citizens."

He further added, "The Government's commitment to providing jobs for thousands of young individuals continues. Today, more than 50,000 enthusiastic individuals have been granted appointment letters for government positions. This achievement reflects your diligence and aptitude. Heartiest congratulations to you and your families."

The Rozgar Mela is currently underway at 37 locations across the country, facilitating recruitments in various Central Government Departments as well as State Governments/UTs supporting this initiative. The new recruits, hailing from diverse regions nationwide, will be joining various Ministries/Departments such as the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and Ministry of Labour & Employment, among others.

This initiative is a pivotal step in realizing the Prime Minister's commitment to prioritize employment generation, underscoring the government's determination to create abundant job opportunities.

The Rozgar Mela is anticipated to act as a catalyst for further employment generation, offering substantial opportunities for the youth to actively contribute to national development and find avenues for empowerment.

Thus far, a series of Rozgar Mela events have successfully provided government job opportunities across various departments.
