Thrissur: During his two-day visit to Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received from the people of Guruvayur. The Prime Minister, who visited the Sreekrishna Temple in Guruvayur, shared pictures of the event on social media platform X, showcasing the large crowd waving BJP flags.

Despite the early morning hours, a substantial number of people gathered at Guruvayur to bless and welcome PM Modi. In a post on X, he stated, "I cherish this warmth, and it motivates me to work even harder for the people." The Prime Minister arrived at the Sreekrishna College ground in Guruvayur via helicopter from Kochi at 7.30 a.m., where he spent around 30 minutes offering prayers at the temple, including presenting ghee and lotus flowers at the Sopanam.

Guruvayur Devaswom, dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan, holds great significance for Hindus and is often referred to as Bhuloka Vaikuntham (Holy Abode of Vishnu on Earth).

As part of his Kerala visit, PM Modi is set to inaugurate three significant infrastructure projects collectively valued at over Rs. 4,000 crore. These projects include the New Dry Dock (NDD) at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), the International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) of CSL, and the LPG Import Terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Puthuvypeen, Kochi. These initiatives align with the Prime Minister's vision to enhance India's ports, shipping, and waterways sectors, fostering self-sufficiency and capacity building.

The completion of these projects is expected to boost the nation's shipbuilding and repair capabilities, spur growth in energy infrastructure and ancillary industries, reduce logistics costs, drive economic growth, and create numerous domestic and international business opportunities.

This marks PM Modi's second visit to Kerala in the span of two weeks. On Tuesday, he offered prayers at the Veerabhadra temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh, a site of significant importance in the Ramayana. During the visit, the Prime Minister listened to verses from the Ranganatha Ramayan in Telugu. The Veerabhadra temple is believed to hold historical significance, with the legend of Jatayu, the bird wounded by Ravana during the abduction of Goddess Sita, adding to its cultural heritage.
