India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, greeted the people of India on the occasion of Dhanteras and said the festival brings prosperity and good health in everyone’s life.
“Many congratulations to all of you on Dhanteras .. May Lord Dhanvantrai bring happiness, prosperity, good health and good luck in everyone’s life,” the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter in Hindi.
Dhanteras, considered the most auspicious day in Hindu calendar for buying items, ranging from precious metals like gold and silver to utensils, is being celebrated for two days on Thursday and Friday this year.
Know more, the Significance of Dhanteras: According to the panchang of Krishna Paksha Muhurat of Kartik Mass, Dhanteras Puja will be observed on November 13 i.e, Friday. The auspicious time for Dhanteras Puja would be between 05:28 pm and 05:59 pm. It is believed that on this day Goddess Lakshmi arrives with the God of wealth-- Lord Kuber. So, you can also perform Kuber Pujan and Lakshami Pujan on Dhantryodashi. Lakshmi Puja should be done in Pradosh Kaal between 05:28 pm and 08:07 pm after sunset.
