NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to host a dinner for Delhi Police personnel who played a crucial role during the G20 summit held in the national capital on September 9 and 10. The dinner event is scheduled for September 16, Saturday, and will take place at ITPO. Approximately 450 Delhi Police personnel who were deployed for G20 security duties will have the privilege of dining with the Prime Minister.

Sources have revealed that Police Commissioner of Delhi, Sanjay Arora, has requested the names of police officers from each district who were part of the G20 security detail.

In recognition of their hard work and dedication during the G20 summit, the Delhi Police has granted a two-day leave to its personnel, as reported by the Indian Express.

These diligent Delhi Police personnel worked tirelessly for three consecutive days, from September 8 to 10, ensuring the safety and security of the summit attended by over 30 world leaders, high-ranking European Union officials, delegates from guest nations, and 14 heads of international organizations. The entire national capital, particularly the New Delhi district, was under stringent security measures during this period.

Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora took the opportunity on Tuesday to present CP's special commendation discs and certificates to officers and personnel for their outstanding contributions to the G20 Leaders’ Summit arrangements, as per an official order.

The order issued on Monday acknowledged the flawless execution of the G20 Summit arrangements by the Delhi Police and emphasized the shared sense of pride and commitment exhibited by all ranks within the force. This camaraderie and dedication were deemed worthy of appreciation and gratitude, which would be expressed through the distribution of Commendation Discs. The order outlined the design and dimensions of these discs, which would be manufactured by respective Heads of Offices for decentralized distribution and investiture.
