New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with top ministers in both Houses of Parliament on Monday to discuss the Nagaland shooting incident and the government's plan, according to sources. Meanwhile, later in the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will make a statement on the shooting event in both Houses of Parliament.

Earlier today, numerous Opposition MPs in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha moved notices in their respective houses to address the shooting incident in Nagaland, which claimed the lives of at least 13 civilians. Manickam Tagore and Manish Tewari, both members of the Congress, have filed adjournment motions in the Lok Sabha, while Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha has filed a suspension of business notice "to debate the problems pertaining to the massacre of innocent citizens in Nagaland."

Meanwhile, on Monday, a five-member Trinamool Congress (TMC) delegation, led by Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev, would travel to Nagaland to meet the families of those killed or injured in the firing incident.

On Sunday, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio requested a high-level investigation into reports of civilians being killed. The Nagaland government banned all mobile internet, data services, and bulk SMS from all providers in the whole Mon district on Sunday, a day after the event.
