On Wednesday, PM Narendra Modi had a meeting with chief ministers and representatives of all states on the growing threat of corona. Prime Minister Modi has directed all states that once again there is a need to focus on testing, tracking, and treatment. PM Narendra Modi has expressed concern over the growing cases in the states like Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala. On corona, PM Narendra Modi said in the meeting that there are many corona-affected countries in the world where there have been many waves of the corona. We have also started suddenly increasing cases in some states. Prime Minister Modi said that the positive rate in countries like Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh has increased very much. Prime Minister Modi said, if this wave of the corona is not stopped here, the countrywide impact can be seen. In his address, PM Narendra Modi said that citizens are not to be brought into panic mode, not to create a situation of fear. We have to get rid of the suffering of the people and reuse the old experiences.
'Increase testing, save villages must be'
In a meeting with chief ministers, Prime Minister Modi said that test-track and street have to be taken seriously again. Testing has to be increased, the number of RT-PCR tests has to be brought above 70 percent. Rapid testing is being done in Kerala-up-Chhattisgarh, which is a matter of concern. PM Narendra Modi said that now the corona cases are increasing in Tier 2 and Tier 3 districts, if they are not stopped, the cases in the villages can increase, and then it would be difficult to handle the corona.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi said that vaccination should be speeded up, the vaccine waste figure in Telangana-Andhra Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh has reached 10 percent. It should not happen at all. In the country, we have been able to put about 30 lakh vaccines daily, so the vaccine vessel has to be stopped to increase the same speed.
PM Modi has given these five mantras to the States
1. 'Medicine too strictly' has to be followed.
2. RT-PCR testing has to be enhanced.
3. Emphasis should be given to building a micro-container zone.
4. Increase the number of vaccine centers, facilities to vaccinate anyone in public-private.
5. The expiry date of the vaccine has to be taken care of.
More than 20,000 corona cases have been coming up in India for the last few days. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, and Karnataka are the states where about 75 percent of the latest cases are coming up. That is why Prime Minister Modi convened a meeting of chief ministers of all states. The meeting held on Wednesday could not include CM Mamata Banerjee of Bengal, CM Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh, UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
