New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated a traditional 'puja' at the ITPO complex, New Delhi, just before the grand inauguration of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC). The morning was adorned with the essence of spirituality and culture as he partook in the Havan rituals, adding a touch of divinity to the event.

The captivating visuals captured the Prime Minister's involvement in the havan-puja ceremony held within the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) complex at New Delhi's prestigious Pragati Maidan. This momentous occasion not only marked the inauguration of the IECC complex but also symbolized the nation's progress towards embracing world-class infrastructure for hosting international meetings, conferences, and exhibitions.

Gracing the event with his presence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took the opportunity to honor the hardworking individuals, the Shramjeevis, who contributed to the realization of the grand project at the ITPO complex in New Delhi.

With great pride, the Prime Minister dedicated the IECC complex to the nation, a testament to India's dedication to excellence in hosting global events. The visionary idea of creating the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) at Pragati Maidan was a result of Prime Minister Modi's commitment to enhancing the country's capabilities on the international stage.

Transforming the old and outdated facilities at Pragati Maidan into a modern marvel, the IECC complex stands as a remarkable National project with an investment of about Rs 2,700 crore. Spanning over an extensive 123-acre campus, the IECC complex now proudly holds the title of India's largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination.

At the heart of the Pragati Maidan complex, the Convention Centre emerges as a grand architectural wonder. Designed to host large-scale international exhibitions, trade fairs, conventions, conferences, and other prestigious events, it boasts a plethora of state-of-the-art amenities. With multiple meeting rooms, lounges, auditoriums, an amphitheater, and a business center, the Convention Centre offers unparalleled versatility for hosting a diverse range of events.

What truly sets the Convention Centre apart is the magnificent multi-purpose hall and plenary hall, with a staggering combined capacity of seven thousand people. This capacity surpasses even the world-renowned Sydney Opera House in Australia. Moreover, the majestic Amphitheater within the complex boasts a seating capacity of 3,000 individuals, making it an ideal venue for grand performances and cultural events.
