New Delhi: On Thursday and Friday, PM Modi is scheduled to visit Rajasthan and Gujarat, respectively. Commencing on Thursday morning, the Prime Minister will participate in a public program in Sikar, Rajasthan, where he will lay the foundation stone and unveil various development projects. Among these projects, the launch of 1 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) will take place, along with the introduction of Urea Gold—a novel variety of Urea coated with Sulphur. This innovation addresses sulphur deficiencies in the soil, offering enhanced nitrogen use efficiency in plants, reducing the need for fertilizers, and ultimately improving crop quality.

Furthermore, during the same program, PM Modi will initiate the onboarding of 1,500 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) onto the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). This move aims to empower FPOs with direct access to digital marketing, online payments, Business-to-business (B2B), and Business-to-consumer transactions, thereby catalyzing growth in rural areas and encouraging local value addition in the agricultural sector. Moreover, an amount of about Rs 17,000 crores under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released through direct benefits transfer to more than 8.5 crore beneficiaries.

Addressing the needs of public health in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate five new medical colleges in various districts, including Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Sirohi, Sikar, and Sri Ganganagar. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for seven more medical colleges in Baran, Bundi, Karauli, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, and Tonk. These initiatives aim to bolster healthcare infrastructure in the state, especially as Rajasthan gears up for Assembly polls later in the year.

After concluding his engagements in Rajasthan, PM Modi will proceed to Rajkot, Gujarat, where he will visit Rajkot International Airport. The greenfield airport, developed across a vast land area of more than 2,500 acres at a cost of over Rs 1400 crore, represents a significant milestone in Gujarat's infrastructure development. During this visit, he will also inaugurate various development projects at Race Course Ground in Rajkot, worth over Rs 860 crore.

On Friday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 'SemiconIndia 2023' at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. This conference aims to bring together global leaders from industry, academia, and research institutions to discuss and showcase India's semiconductor strategy and policy. The ultimate vision is to establish India as a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development. Representatives from major companies like Micron Technology, Applied Materials, Foxconn, SEMI, Cadence, and AMD will also participate in the event.

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Rajasthan and Gujarat promises to unveil a series of impactful initiatives spanning various sectors, with a focus on development, agriculture, healthcare, and technology. The planned engagements reflect the government's dedication to enhancing the nation's prosperity and progress.
