Prime Minister Modi delivered a bold prediction during a public rally in Dungarpur's Sagwara, condemning the Congress-led government in Rajasthan. He expressed certainty, grounded in what he referred to as a divine revelation received while seeking blessings from Mavji Maharaj Ji, that the Ashok Gehlot government would not ascend to power in the state, not just presently but in the future as well.

"In drawing upon the sanctity of this revered land, I dare to foretell the future. This revelation, stemming from this sacred soil, emboldens my words, yet I seek forgiveness from Mavji Maharaj. Let it be inscribed by the people of Rajasthan - the prophecy stands that Ashok Gehlot's regime will never govern Rajasthan," asserted PM Modi.

His speech didn't spare the Gehlot government, highlighting the paper leak issue and decrying its educational policies for shattering the dreams of the state's youth. Accusing the administration of malpractice in government appointments, he lamented, "The Congress-led governance has trampled upon the aspirations of our youth... it has indulged in corruption in all official placements... This injustice befalls your children."

Employing a taunting tone towards the Congress, Modi asserted that where faith in Congress ends regarding welfare schemes, confidence in Modi's assurances begins. "Where people lose hope in Congress for the welfare and upliftment of the poor and public, there, the assurance of Modi commences," quipped the PM.

Encouraging the electorate to empower the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), PM Modi emphasized the necessity of dethroning Congress for the swift implementation of central government schemes in Rajasthan. "Democracy offers you the chance to replace this governance marred by Congress... One small mistake could lead to five years of suffering... Removing Congress is vital to accelerate the execution of central government initiatives in Rajasthan," stressed Modi.

Taking a dig at Rajasthan's Chief Minister, PM Modi suggested that the public is turning away from Ashok Gehlot in these elections. "Wherever Congress leaders canvass for votes, the response remains constant - 'Gehlot ji, votes won't be cast for you'."

Sagwara Assembly constituency falls within Dungarpur district and is among the 200 seats slated for the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections.

While the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) secured victories in two seats, Horasi and Sagwara, snatching them from the BJP in the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, the upcoming 2023 polls are expected to be a head-to-head contest between the ruling Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with regional and smaller parties vying for influence.
