New Delhi: In a move to review the recommendations and resolutions from the recently concluded G20 summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has suggested hosting a virtual G20 session toward the end of November. During the closing session of the two-day G20 summit, Modi noted that India's presidency of the G20 would continue until November 30, allowing ample time to lead the group effectively. Over the two days of the summit, leaders had shared their perspectives, offered suggestions, and presented numerous proposals. Modi emphasized the responsibility to carefully consider these suggestions and expedite their implementation.

He proposed, "I suggest that we convene another virtual G20 session at the end of November. During this session, we can review the agreements and discussions from this summit. Our teams will provide all the necessary details, and I hope that all of you will participate." Modi concluded the summit, saying, "With this, I officially close the G20 summit." During the closing session, Modi invoked a Sanskrit shloka to convey a message of hope and peace worldwide. In a symbolic gesture, Modi passed on the leadership role to Brazil, extending best wishes as Brazil prepares to assume the presidency of the elite group starting from December 1st this year.

A noteworthy development during the G20 meeting was the formal inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member of the G20. This decision aims to amplify the voices of developing nations in global decision-making processes. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Global Biofuels Alliance during the summit. The launch event was attended by prominent leaders, including US President Joe Biden, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio, Argentine President Alberto Fernández, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The establishment of the Global Biofuels Alliance aligns with a key priority of India's G20 Presidency. 

On the first day of the summit, a major highlight was the joint announcement of a substantial shipping and railway connectivity corridor project spanning from India to the Middle East and Europe. This initiative involves collaboration between India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the European Union.
