New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is currently on a tour of Papua New Guinea, where India and the Prime Minister have received a great honor, in fact, the Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitiveni Rabuka, has received PM Modi's international leadership. In view of this, he has been awarded Fiji's highest honor 'Companion of the Order of Fiji' (Companion of the Order of Fiji). Let us tell you that Fiji's highest honor has so far been given to only a few non-Fiji people, in which PM Modi's name has also been included.

Significantly, 'Companion of the Order of Fiji' is a very important honor, which is given to those individuals who have made unique contribution towards the nation of Fiji. The Fiji Order, established in 1995, recognizes Fiji citizens and foreign nationals who have shown outstanding service and dedication to the country and its people. Receiving this great honor reflects the recipient's significant influence, which includes outstanding contributions in fields such as politics, business, education, humanitarian work, and cultural endeavors. 

Sir Michael Somare, former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, has also been awarded the 'Companion of the Order of Fiji', who played an important role in strengthening diplomatic relations and enhancing regional cooperation between Fiji and Papua New Guinea. Had played Along with this, Papua New Guinea diplomat Dame Meg Taylor has also been honored, who has been made a 'Companion of the Order of Fiji' for her significant contribution to Fiji and administrative development and promotion of gender discrimination and human rights in Fiji and the Pacific Ocean region.
