Prime Minister Narendra Modi's entire focus is towards Kashmir after removing Article 370 from Jammu Kashmir and restoring normalcy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived on Sunday to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers in Rajouri, bordering the Indo-Pak control, said that "after independence, Pakistan tried to snatch Kashmir from us, but our soldiers did not let its intentions succeed. Modi said that Pakistan has illegally occupied a part of Kashmir, which is within me".

According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wearing army uniform, fed sweets with his hands and thanked the countrymen for showing indomitable courage in protecting the country. He also congratulated the soldiers on Diwali. He was accompanied by Army Chief General Bipin Rawat. Modi stayed between the soldiers for about two hours and also spoke to the soldiers and officers engaged in the security of the LoC. PM Modi visited Jammu Kashmir on the day when Army is celebrating Infantry Day.

Apart from this, the PM recalled the gallantry of the infantry and said that "when the two countries separated after independence, we told Pakistan that it should go its own way and that we would follow our own path, but Pakistan tried to put a dagger on India's back". Modi said that "he hatched a conspiracy to occupy Kashmir, but our army smashed the intentions of Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India today, but some part of Kashmir has gone to Pakistan, which is in our hearts".
