Jammu: PM Narendra Modi today addressed his first public meeting in Jammu after the abrogation of Article 370. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth about Rs 20,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir. 20,000 crore projects. Whose direct benefits are being made to the villages of Jammu and Kashmir. Be it electricity connection, water connection, toilets under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Jammu and Kashmir has got a big benefit from this. Prime Minister Modi said that when the Ratle Hydro Electric Project and The Kwar Hydro Electric Project are ready, Jammu and Kashmir will not only get electricity, it will also earn the state. Palli village is getting electricity from solar. Palli village has become an example of 'Urja Swaraj.'

Prime Minister Modi said that the Amrit Kaal of independence means that in the coming 25 years, the new Jammu and Kashmir will write a new story of development. Due to seven decades of independence, only 17,000 crore rupees of private investment could be made in Jammu and Kashmir. In the last two years, this figure has reached Rs 38,000 crore. Prime Minister Modi said that once upon a time, a government file used to run from Delhi, it used to take 2-3 weeks to reach Jammu and Kashmir. I am happy that today the 500 kW solar power plant is implemented here in just 3 weeks, it starts generating electricity. PM said "When I talk about Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, our focus is on connectivity, also on bridging distances. Whether it is the distance of the hearts, the language, the behaviour or the resources, removing them is our very big priority today.'' He further said, "I want to speak to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir about the problems with which your parents, grandparents and grandparents had to live life. You will never have to live a life like this, I will show you this.''
