Dehradun: Travelling in roadways buses, Vikram, autos, and city buses can be costly in Uttarakhand. The Fare Fixation Committee constituted on the orders of the Government has prepared a detailed report. It will now be presented in the meeting of the State Transport Authority. According to sources, the committee has recommended an increase in the rates of fares due to an increase in the prices of diesel petrol as well as vehicles and spare parts within the last three years.

According to sources, the Fare Fixation Committee has decided on the new rates of the proposed fare in consultation with the office bearers of public transport-related organisations and the public. The report of the committee will be presented in a meeting of the State Transport Authority shortly.
Thereafter, the new rates of rent will be fixed. RTO DC Pathoi said that a detailed report has been prepared. It will be handed over to the State Transport Authority shortly. Let us know that there has been no increase in the rental rates since 2019. In such a situation, public transport organisations including city buses, Vikrams and autos are continuously demanding a hike in fares.
