Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, also known as Srila Prabhupada, was born on February 6, 1874, in Puri, India. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential spiritual figures of the 20th century. Prabhupada founded the Gaudiya Mission, a key organization in upholding and disseminating the core principles of the Vaishnava faith. The Gaudiya Mission has been instrumental in promoting the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the rich spiritual legacy of Vaishnavism worldwide, serving as the epicenter of the Hare Krishna movement, as per a statement issued by the PMO.
