Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Pokhran, Rajasthan, to observe a dynamic display showcasing India's homegrown defense capabilities. The event, reported by ANI, will feature a Tri-Services Live Fire and Manoeuvre Exercise, aimed at highlighting India's strides towards self-reliance in defense.

Expressing his anticipation for the event, PM Modi tweeted, "I look forward to being in Pokhran later today. This place has an emotional attachment with every Indian." He emphasized the significance of witnessing indigenous defense capabilities in action, stating, "I am glad that this program will feature weapon systems and more which are vital in the quest to make India self-reliant in defense."

Dubbed 'Bharat Shakti,' the exercise will showcase a variety of indigenous weapon systems and platforms, underscoring the nation's commitment to self-sufficiency in defense, as per the Prime Minister's Office.

The exercise will simulate realistic, coordinated operations across multiple domains, exhibiting the integrated operational prowess of the Indian Armed Forces in countering threats across land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains.

Key equipment and weapons systems featured in the exercise include T-90 (IM) Tanks, Dhanush and Sarang Gun Systems, Akash Weapons Systems, Logistics Drones, Robotic Mules, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), and an array of unmanned aerial vehicles, among others. These demonstrations highlight India's advanced ground warfare and aerial surveillance capabilities.

The Indian Navy will showcase Naval Anti-Ship Missiles, Autonomous Cargo Carrying Aerial Vehicles, and Expendable Aerial Targets, emphasizing maritime strength and technological sophistication.

Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force will demonstrate the prowess of its Tejas fighter jets, Light Utility Helicopters, and Advanced Light Helicopters, showcasing its versatility and ability to handle diverse tasks in the air.

This initiative underscores India's preparedness to confront present and future challenges with indigenous technology, projecting the country's robust defense capabilities on the global stage.

The program aims to showcase India's progress towards self-reliance in defense, highlighting the strength of its military forces and the innovation of its defense industry.
