Prime Minister Modi starts 'Khelo India Winter Games'

From today, the second India Winter Games 2021 has been made. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated this Khelo India-Winter Games 2021 to be held in Gulmarg, Jammu Kashmir. This 5-day sports competition is being organized by the Ministry of Youth Services and Sports and the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The second edition of the Khelo India Winter Games is scheduled to be held from 26 February to 2 March. The Gulmarg Winter Games has more than 1200 players from different states across the country.

Inaugurating the second edition of the Khelo India Winter Games, PM Narendra Modi said that even though there is a cold in Gulmarg, your passion is felt by every Indian. The Prime Minister, while encouraging the players, said that the game is not just a competition but it is also getting the honor of the country and the opportunity to reach the podium of the Olympics. PM Modi further said that these games will give a boost to tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and the level of sports can also improve here. He said that the Winter Games being held in Gulmarg shows how ready Jammu and Kashmir are to touch new heights of peace and development. Due to which the tourism of Jammu and Kashmir is also getting new energy and enthusiasm.

It has been learned that the PM said that with the effective presence of India in the Winder Games, it is taking big steps to make Jammu and Kashmir a major hub. Sport is not just a hobby or a timepass. From sports, we learn team spirit, find a new path in defeat, learn to repeat the victory, today the sport has become a field which shows the country's image in the whole world as well as the power of the country. Many small countries of the world make their identity due to sports.
