New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend several programmes and dedicate projects in Gujarat on Friday as part of his two-day visit to the state beginning March 11.

PM Modi wrote in a tweet today, “ I am Leaving for Gujarat, I will be attending various programmes there Friday and Saturady. At 4 PM today, will address a Panchayat Mahasammelan, where many representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions will take part."  Today, at 4 p.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at the Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan.

At 11 a.m. on March 12, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) building to the country. As the Chief Guest, he will also deliver the RRU's inaugural Convocation address. On March 12, around 6:30 p.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the 11th Khel Mahakumbh and deliver a speech.

With 33 district panchayats, 248 taluka panchayats, and nearly 14,500 gramme panchayats, Gujarat features a three-tier Panchayati Raj structure. More than 1 lakh representatives from the state's three tiers of Panchayati Raj institutions will attend the 'Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan: Aapnu Gaam, Aapnu Gaurav.'
