Modi congratulates AAP for its victory in Punjab, assures Centre's help

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on its landslide victory in the Punjab Assembly elections on Thursday, pledging the government's full support.

Modi conveyed his gratitude to voters and party members in a series of tweets, and congratulated AAP on winning Punjab.

The Prime Minister also promised the AAP that the Centre will provide all possible help for the welfare of Punjab.

"I'd like to congratulate AAP on their electoral victory in Punjab. I assure you that the Centre would provide all possible support for the welfare of Punjab "he stated

Modi stated in another tweet, "@BJP4India has received a lot of goodwill from the people of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur. The citizens of these states have my thanks. Our party values these advantages and will continue to work for the development of these countries." Modi praised the BJP's hard work in the five states that went to the polls, saying, "Our 'karyakartas' (people's party) toiled tirelessly among the people. They discussed our good governance plan and emphasised our pro-people initiatives. I applaud each and every 'karyakarta' for their outstanding efforts."
