NEW DELHI:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address civil servants on Civil Services Day, today April 21.

The event will also serve as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the role that civil personnel have played in strengthening the country. The "Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration" will also be presented by the prime minister at the occasion.

The awards were set ujp to honour districts and organisations of the federal and state governments for their remarkable and creative work on behalf of ordinary persons.

Prime Minister's address to civil servants on Civil Services Day will serve as an opportunity to acknowledge the endeavours made by civil servants in nation-building. In especially during the present "Amrit Kaal" period, PM Modi would "motivate and inspire" officials from all over the nation. Civil servants have received constant encouragement from Modi to put in more effort and to keep serving the country with the same fervour.

The emphasis of the awards will be on four priority programmes: promoting Swachh Jal through the Har Ghar Jal Yojana, promoting Swasth Bharat through health and wellness facilities, promoting quality education with an equitable and inclusive learning environment through Samagra Shiksha, and promoting holistic development through the aspirational district programme - overall progress with a particular emphasis on saturation approach.

These four programmes will each receive eight awards, while seven awards will be given out for innovations. Modi has continuously praised civil personnel for their contributions to the development of the country and urged them to put in even more effort. Especially during this pivotal period of "Amrit Kaal," the programme is anticipated to inspire and excite officials from all over the nation.

The "Prime Minister's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration" honour districts and organisations of the federal and state governments for their remarkable efforts on behalf of ordinary citizens.
