NEW DELHI: On the 7th of July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the commencement of two splendid Vande Bharat Express trains from the magnificent city of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. This inauguration forms a part of PM Modi's two-day visit to four states. The two Vande Bharat trains that will be inaugurated are the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express and the Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express.
Lucknow-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express: he Vande Bharat Express journeying from Lucknow to Gorakhpur is anticipated to manifest as an eight-coach marvel, representing the miniature rendition of the semi-high-speed train in the state. This train will intricately connect the revered city of Baba Gorakhnath to the hallowed city of Lord Ram, Ayodhya, and the majestic city of Nawabs, Lucknow. It will also make a stop at Basti, opening up improved connectivity to tourist destinations such as Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, and Sant Kabir Nagar, a town hailing the mystic poet of the 15th century, 'Kabir.'
Covering a span of 302 kilometers, the train will traverse the Ayodhya junction in less than four hours, although officials informed News18 that the estimated time would be 4 hours and 10 minutes. Presently, a train journey along this route takes about 4.30 to 5 hours. The shortest duration achieved by any train on this route is by Train no. 22411 Arunachal Superfast Express, completing the distance between Gorakhpur and Lucknow via Gonda junction in 4 hours and 35 minutes. Other trains like 12557 Sapt Kranti Superfast Express and 12555 Gorakhdham Superfast Express usually take around 4 hours and 50 minutes. The trial run of this train was conducted yesterday, on the 4th of July.
Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express: The Jodhpur-Sabarmati Vande Bharat Express will significantly enhance connectivity between the royal realm of Rajputana and the venerable city of Mahatma Gandhi, Ahmedabad. This train will traverse through captivating cities such as Pali, Abu Road, Palanpur, and Mehsana. Moreover, it will bring added advantages to the noteworthy tourist sites nestled within the historical realms of Jodhpur and Ahmedabad.
