New Delhi: The Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, a museum dedicated to India's prime ministers, will open on April 14 to commemorate the birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar.
According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, the museum recognises the contributions of all Prime Ministers, regardless of their philosophy or duration in office. The museum, which is being built in Delhi's Teen Murti Estate, will cover the lives and contributions of all 14 Indian prime leaders to date.
It is a project led by Prime Minister Modi that aims to educate and inspire the younger generation about the leadership, vision, and accomplishments of all Indian Prime Ministers.
Meanwhile, Jawaharlal Nehru's collections and works will be kept at the Nehru Memorial Museum, which has been upgraded with a technologically improved presentation of the country's first Prime Minister's life and contributions.
The Sangrahalaya tells the story of how India's Prime Ministers led the country through various challenges and ensured the country's overall progress, beginning with India's freedom struggle and the creation of the Constitution. The overarching aim has been to acknowledge the contributions of all Prime Ministers in an unbiased manner.
Former prime ministers' rare images, speeches, video clips, newspapers, interviews, and original writings would be on display.
The museum's architecture is inspired by the story of India's rise, as it was formed and moulded by its rulers. Because no trees have been felled or relocated, it integrates sustainable and energy-saving measures.
