Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Kevadia, Gujarat, Statue of Unity, development projects, Border Security Force, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kevadia, Gujarat - In a tribute to the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 148th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' program today, October 31, at the picturesque locale of Kevadia in Gujarat. The Prime Minister commenced his two-day visit to the state with an early morning visit to the Ambaji Temple on October 30, performing Pooja and Darshan. Following this, at around 12 noon, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several significant development projects in Mehsana.

This commemoration is rooted in a historic decision made under the leadership of the Prime Minister to celebrate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, with the aim of bolstering national unity, integrity, and security.

Today's program in Kevadia included a special parade, featuring marching contingents from the Border Security Force (BSF) and various state police units. Among the highlights of the event were a thrilling daredevil performance by an all-female CRPF bikers' team, a pipe band presentation by the women of the BSF, a choreographed display by Gujarat's women police, and a special NCC show. School bands added to the festivities, while the Indian Air Force executed a captivating flypast. An exhibition showcasing the economic vibrancy of rural villages was also featured.

In addition to these celebrations, the Prime Minister to inaugurate  and lay the foundation stone for a range of development projects totaling Rs 160 crore in Kevadia. These projects included the Heritage Train from Ekta Nagar to Ahmedabad, a live Narmada Aarti project, Kamalam Park, a walkway within the Statue of Unity, the introduction of 30 new e-buses, 210 e-bicycles, and multiple golf carts. The City Gas Distribution Network at Ekta Nagar and the 'Sahkar Bhawan' of Gujarat State Cooperative Bank were also part of this ambitious initiative.

Further enhancing the infrastructure in Kevadia, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the Sub-District Hospital with a Trauma Center and a Solar Panel project.

The Prime Minister concluded his visit by addressing the Officer Trainees of the 98th Common Foundation Course as part of 'Aarambh 5.0.' This edition of Aarambh, held under the theme 'Harnessing the Power of Disruption,' seeks to explore the transformative forces that continue to shape the present and future, with a focus on harnessing these dynamics for inclusive development. The 98th Common Foundation Course, themed 'Mai nahi hum,' features 560 Officer Trainees from 16 different civil services of India and three civil services of Bhutan.
