New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address at electoral rallies Imphal (Manipur) and Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh), today, February 22. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) issued its electoral platform for the 2022 Manipur assembly elections last week, promising a slew of "freebies" while emphasising territorial integrity and maintaining the rights of Manipur's indigenous people and rich culture.

As per BJP's top promises, two free LPG cylinders will be distributed annually to all PM Ujjwala beneficiaries in the state. All meritorious college-going girls of the state  would receive a free scooty. The Rani Gaidinliu Nupi Maheiroi Singi Scheme will provide a 25,000 incentive to girls from the EWS and backward classes.

On February 28 and March 5, Manipur will hold elections in two stages. The BJP has stepped up its campaigning for the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh phases of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, which is now underway.

Today, Home Minister Amit Shah will also hold roadshows in Raniganj, Koraon, and Prayagraj's western, northern, and southern districts. In addition, the Home Minister may run for office in Prayagraj (Gangapar). On February 10, Uttar Pradesh's seven-phased Assembly elections began.
