New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will launch schemes worth Rs 294.53 crore in Bihar today. All these schemes relate to the Department of Fisheries, Animal husbandry and agriculture. PM Modi to launch Pradhan Mantri Fishing Estate Scheme (PMMSY). It will also launch a holistic breed improvement, market and information ' e-Gopala app for direct use of farmers.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that Modi will also launch some other schemes related to fisheries and animal husbandry sector in Bihar on the occasion. In Bihar, assembly elections are proposed in October-November this year. The programme will also be attended by Cm Nitish Kumar of Bihar besides union Minister for Fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying Giriraj Singh. Will also announce projects worth Rs 107 crore under PMMSY.
PM Modi will inaugurate the Bagkhari Fish Seed Farm at Dumara in Sitamarhi at a cost of Rs 5 crore, a fisheries college at Kishanganj of Rs 10 crore and an aquatic referral lab at Bihar Animal Science University, Patna. The Two Crore Rupees Fish on Wheels of Masauhi in Patna, Rs 1 crore fish feed mill at Madhepura, Rs 2.87 crore agricultural university, will launch the Integrated Fisheries Production Technology Centre.
