On August 5, PM Modi is going to reach Ayodhya for Bhumi Pujan of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. According to the news, PM Modi is also going to plant a Jasmine tree in the campus there. But do you know what is the importance of this plant and why is it so special…? Let's know.
Jasmine tree is considered very beautiful tree. The flowers of this tree are included in the worship of Lord Hari. For this reason, it is also called Harsingar. It is believed that a person's fatigue is eradicated only by touching Jasmine. The Jasmine tree is ten to twenty-five feet in height. Apart from this, the specialty of this tree is also that it grows flowers in very large quantities. It produces so many flowers in a day that you will continue to pluck it but it will not end. After that, flowers will bloom in large quantities again the next day. Although this tree grows more in central India and in the low hills of Himalayas, but it is now going to be planted in the premises of Ramjanmabhoomi. In this tree, the flower blooms at night, and all its flowers fall as early as the morning. For this reason, it is called the queen of the night.
The Harsingar flower is also the state flower of West Bengal. Only five species are found worldwide. If this flower is offered to Goddess Lakshmi then she is happy. Apart from this, there is also a belief that during 14 years of exile, Goddess Sita used to adorn herself with the flowers of Harsingar, due to this it is also considered to be the main flower. The Jasmine tree originated from the churning of the sea, and Indra planted it in its garden. Not only this, during the exile, Goddess Kunti had expressed her desire to worship Shiva with Jasmine flower, and to fulfill mother's wish, Arjun brought this tree from heaven and installed it. After that, the worship of this tree is done.
