New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address global investors as well as infrastructure, real estate, and legal sector experts today to discuss India's privatisation strategy, asset monetisation, and their contribution to the country's growth.
The DIPAM (Department of Investment and Public Asset Management) in collaboration with NITI Aayog, is hosting an apex level consultative post-Budget webinar with 22 ministries and senior executives from PSEs.
Global sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms, global pension funds, investment banks, asset monetisation companies specialising in real estate and infrastructure, and legal experts from North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Far East, as well as Australia, would also participate. "Through this webinar, DIPAM hopes to elicit ideas and perspectives from sector experts, investors, and other eminent stakeholders in order to develop a time-bound implementation plan/strategy for Privatization/Disinvestment of PSEs and Asset Monetization of Core and Non-Core Assets in order to achieve the best outcome for India's growth," an official statement said.
