Dharamsala:  In his second electoral campaign in a week in the election-bound state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged on Wednesday that the BJP's double-engine governments could give the people of Himachal Pradesh stability and good governance.

The PM linked the Congress with "instability, corruption and scam". "You may recall the years prior to 2014 when the Congress government treated the nation's sisters, daughters, and women with the utmost indifference. You blessed me for being your son, and I made the decision to resolve the issues you have been dealing with for generations "While speaking at a public gathering in Chambi, a village near Dharamsala in the Kangra region, Modi, wearing a Himachali cap, made the remarks.

The Prime Minister spoke at two public events last week in Sundernagar and Solan. He begged voters at the gathering by promising to establish a "naya rivaj" (new tradition) to re-elect the BJP government in the state.

Modi, who makes an effort to build a rapport with the populace by claiming that he views Himachal Pradesh as his second home, stressed the need to further enhance the development driven by women "Up till the very end of their lives, we are working to overcome every obstacle facing women. We are in the 5G era. With the advent of 5G, Himachal's youth and way of life will change. As a result, education in rural schools will also resemble that in big cities." The Prime Minister attacked the Congress, claiming that the party had raised the pension age to 80 years old and maintained the requirement of family income.

The Prime Minister had previously announced to the public that he would be giving world leaders special works of art and handicraft from Himachal Pradesh during the upcoming G20 summit "The BJP government removed the income requirement and lowered the pension age to 60 years old. Thousands of senior persons benefited from this." Modi stated that the Central government launched the Ujjwala scheme and the Himachal BJP administration expanded it by launching the Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna, which was the justification for picking the double engine government.
"The Himachal Pradesh BJP government expanded the Himcare programme as the Central government launched the Ayushman plan. The double-engine government operates in this manner." Modi went on to further elaborate: "The Congress is a guarantee of unpredictability as well as of fraud and corruption. Also, the Congress means a guarantee of blocking development projects." Modi questioned the populace if they had ever heard of the Congress making headlines for development, noting that only Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh remain the two states where they are in power. "What comes out of there are rumours of internal conflicts inside the Congress." Amidst chants of 'Modi-Modi', the Prime Minister was extended rousing welcome on his arrival by party activists.

As the Prime Minister arrived, many women who were there on the road waved their hands in greeting.
On Saturday, voting will take place in Himachal Pradesh for the 68 seats in the BJP-controlled Legislative Assembly.
