In the final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi calls on young voters and women to participate in large numbers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an urgent appeal on Saturday for voters, especially women and youth, to turn out in large numbers for the final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Modi emphasized the importance of voter participation to enhance the vibrancy and inclusivity of Indian democracy.

"Today is the final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As 57 seats across 8 states and UTs go to the polls, I call upon voters to vote in large numbers. I hope young and women voters exercise their franchise in record numbers. Together, let's make our democracy more vibrant and participative," PM Modi stated.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to X to encourage voters, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, to support a government committed to development. Shah emphasized the need for a government that will build infrastructure and provide essential services to improve the lives of all citizens.

"Today I appeal to all the voters of Uttar Pradesh, especially the youth, to vote in record numbers to elect an honest government that will build a network of highways, airports, high-speed trains, and internet in the country and Uttar Pradesh. A credible government that provides houses, gas, and free treatment to every poor person can change the picture of India and Uttar Pradesh," Shah urged.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge joined the call for voter turnout, urging support for the INDIA bloc to protect the Constitution and democracy. He highlighted the significance of the final voting phase in determining the country's future.

"My dear countrymen, today is the last phase of voting to save the Constitution and democracy. The INDIA alliance is fighting the dictatorial forces with courage. The battle is now in its final phase. The public has stood firmly with us in every phase. After six phases, people want to see us win. You have to decide. Remember, if there is a constitution, our basic fundamental rights will remain. My young friends who are voting for the first time have a big responsibility. I request everyone to vote in maximum numbers. By voting for change, it will be a happy beginning," Kharge posted.

The final phase of the election began on Saturday at 7 am, covering the last 57 parliamentary constituencies across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. This phase concludes the world's largest democratic election, which started on May 19 and has already covered six phases and 486 Lok Sabha seats.

According to the Election Commission of India, over 10.06 crore voters, including approximately 5.24 crore men, 4.82 crore women, and 3,574 third-gender voters, are expected to participate. All 13 parliamentary constituencies in Punjab are voting in this final phase.
