The clash took place near the Eidgah, close to the state guesthouse in the Jagarnathpur police station area, along the Ranchi-Khunti road. The altercation ensued over a dispute regarding urinating near the Eidgah.

Altercation Turns Violent: Scorpio Riders Assaulted

Despite the presence of heightened security, a group of villagers unleashed a brutal attack on three youths riding a Scorpio, leaving the vehicle damaged with stones and bricks. Before the clash escalated, one of the youths on the Scorpio fired shots from a pistol. The incident unfolded around 9:57 PM, near the Birsa Chowk, nearly two kilometers away from the site.

Despite robust security measures in place, the incident has left people astounded, raising questions about the efficacy of the security arrangements. Even after the gunfire, locals became agitated, resulting in a mob beating the three youths. The police intervened, taking all three into custody and seizing the pistol.

Swift Arrests: Understanding the Culprits

The individual involved in the incident has been identified as Sumit Minz, also known as "Launderer Sumit," residing in the Latma Basti area within the Jagannathpur police station jurisdiction. Sumit has a history of criminal cases related to violence. Another youth, Ajit Singh Tupdana, hails from Basargad Road, No. 12, in the O.P. area. The third youth, Mitthu Yadav, resides in Bhawani Nagar Nepali Colony within the Jagannathpur police station area and has a previous record of assault cases.

Sequence of Events: What Transpired?

According to local sources and police informants, at around 7 PM, a white Scorpio with three youths descended from the vehicle and began urinating on the roadside near the Eidgah. The youth from Kachnara Toli spotted them and objected to their actions. A verbal altercation ensued, escalating into a physical clash between the two groups.

Refusing to back down, the Scorpio riders confronted the Kachnara Toli youths, leading to an intense brawl. In the heat of the confrontation, one of the Scorpio riders pulled out a pistol from his waist and fired a shot. The news of gunfire prompted villagers from Kachnara Toli to rush to the scene, resulting in a severe beating for the Scorpio riders.

Immediate Police Response: Detentions and Confiscation

Promptly responding to the incident, the police reached the spot, detained all three youths, and confiscated the firearm. Despite the potential for a more significant tragedy, the situation was brought under control. The injured youths were taken to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.
