PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pune Metro Rail Project by gifting the people of Pune. After inaugurating the Metro Rail, Prime Minister Modi travelled from Garware College Metro Station to Anand Nagar Metro Station. While travelling on the metro train, Prime Minister Modi interacted with the students. Apart from the students, Prime Minister Modi was also seen interacting with the general public present on the metro train.

At the same time, Prime Minister Modi also inspected the Garware metro station. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi unveiled the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the Pune Municipal Corporation complex. The statue is made of 1850 kg of gunmetal and is about 9.5 feet high. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol were also present on the occasion.

 

Let us tell you that Prime Minister Modi had laid the foundation stone of the Pune Metro Rail Project on December 24, 2016. The project is a total of 32.2 km. The cost of this entire project is about Rs 11,400 crore. Before leaving for Pune, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "Leaving for Pune. Where I will participate in all the programmes, including the inauguration of the Metro Rail Project, I will lay the foundation stone of all the development works and participate in the Golden Jubilee Programme of Symbiosis University."
