New Delhi: PM Modi is going to inaugurate the Internet in Andaman-Nicobar Islands through video conferencing today. With this, a new era will start here. 20 months ago, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of this high-speed internet project and today it is going to be inaugurated.

A bandwidth of 2X200 gigabytes per second between Port Blair, capital of Chennai to Andaman Nicobar and then 2X100 gigabytes per second between Port Blair to Andaman-Nicobar 7 different islands will be managed. The people of Andaman and Nicobar will now have access to faster internet. In fact, in the last few years, Andaman-Nicobar has gained importance in terms of strategic security and Andaman and Nicobar has become an important center for stopping China at sea.

In view of this, PM Modi is going to inaugurate a large facility for Andaman and Nicobar today. A day before the introduction of high speed broadband, PM Modi held discussions with BJP workers in Andaman. During the interaction with the workers, PM Modi said that, Andaman and Nicobar Islands have strengthened the movement for independence of India, Andaman and Nicobar also has an important role for the defense, security and prosperity of new India for self-reliant India.
