PM Modi has held 8 rallies in Uttar Pradesh in the last one month. According to the information, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Lucknow on January 8 and 9, which is why PM Modi's rally has been postponed. At the same time, the Congress has decided not to organize large public meetings and programs for the next 15 days in five election states including Uttar Pradesh, in view of the continuous increase in the cases of corona virus infection in the country.

Party sources have informed that it was first decided after talking with the leaders of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee that big election meetings, programs and marathons will not be organized in the state. Sources have also said that All India Congress Committee's organization general secretary KC Venugopal has asked its units in the election states to review the situation in their respective states and then take a decision about the meetings and programs.
