New Delhi: Almost a month after the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed a government in an alliance with NCP on Saturday morning, making a big twist overnight. Devendra Fadnavis has sworn in as CM again in Maharashtra, while NCP leader Ajit Pawar has sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister.
PM Narendra Modi has congratulated Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar through his official tweet. PM Modi wrote, "Congratulations to @Dev_Fadnavis Ji and @AjitPawarSpeaks Ji on taking oath as the CM and Deputy CM of Maharashtra respectively. I am confident they will work diligently for the bright future of Maharashtra. ''
Home Minister, Amit Shah also tweeted congratulating the two leaders. Union Home Minister and BJP National President Amit Shah wrote in his official tweet that "Hearty congratulations to Shri @ Dev_Fadnavis ji on taking oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Shri @ AjitPawarSpeaks as Deputy Chief Minister of the state. I am confident that this government will be continuously committed to the development and welfare of Maharashtra and will set new standards of progress in the state."
