Pm Narendra Modi-led Modi 2.0 introduced a new bill to prevent road accidents in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, which has become law from September 1 and has come into force in many states. We are talking about the new Motor Vehicles Act, where people have to fill up to 10 times more invoices if traffic rules are broken. Recently, a truck driver's invoice of Rs 2.50 lakh has been cut by Traffic Police. In such a situation, today we will talk about what are the challenges in India under the new traffic law brought by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari led by Narendra Modi?

According to the media report, when Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari introduced the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, he had told that about 1.5 lakh people die every year in a road accident. Also, around 5 lakh people are injured in Road Accident. According to a report, every year around 13.5 lakh people worldwide die in a road accident and India is the victim of this. In India, on an average, around 400 people die every day in a road accident. This strict law has been brought to reduce these accidents.

The new Motor Vehicles Act has come into force in India from 1 September. However, it has not been implemented in many states like Punjab, West Bengal, and Rajasthan. The governments of these states say that the amount of traffic challan is too much in the new law, which will put a lot of burden on the common people. One of the biggest challenges for the central government is to convince the governments of these states. The Maharashtra government has refused to implement the new Motor Vehicle Act. In a letter written by Nitin Gadkari on behalf of the state government, it has been said that outrage may arise from the new law. According to the reports, the state government wants to cut the traffic challan. In such a situation, until there is no response from the central government, the new law will not be applicable. Also, the Government of Gujarat has reduced many penalties of traffic rules from 25% to 90%. On behalf of CM Vijay Rupani, it has been said to take this decision on humanitarian grounds. In such a situation, the opposition is surrounding the central government on this matter. Now it is to be seen how the Modi government is able to properly run the new traffic law in the BJP ruled states.

For your information, the biggest challenge of the central government and state governments is that the new traffic rules should not be misused. Actually, this law has been brought for the protection of the people, not to disturb the common man. In such a situation, it is important to take care not to disturb people from the traffic police. The common man says that the prices of traffic challan have been increased, but what about the condition of India's roads? In such a situation, the central government will have to improve the infrastructure faster than before, so that the common will support.
