New Delhi: PM Modi is meeting with top officials of the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Commerce to determine the strategy of how to revive the economy of Corona affected Indians. Sources have informed that they are seeking an opinion from the top 50 officials of ministries on the future strategy in view of the current state of the economy.

For this, PM Modi interacted with the officials through video conferencing for one and a half hours. During this, the officials shared their suggestions with PM Modi through a presentation. Earlier, PM Modi had a separate meeting with the Economic Advisory Council as well as the Chief and Principal Economic Advisers of Finance Ministry and NITI Aayog. According to sources, the entire focus of PM Modi is on reviving the slumped economy due to a sharp drop in consumer demand due to the Corona epidemic.

For this reason, the government announced a corona package of Rs 20.97 lakh crore in May, which is one of the major packages announced by governments around the world to deal with the epidemic. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the government is assessing the impact of Corona on the Indian economy. While giving the detailed information of the package, he said that further steps would be taken if required.
