PM Modi's emergency meeting continues on Visakhapatnam accident, Home Minister Shah also joins

Visakhapatnam: A major accident has occurred due to leaking of chemical gas in the LG polymer industry in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. On Thursday morning in RR Venkatapuram village, seven people were reported to have died in this incident, while more than 800 people are hospitalized. In connection with this incident, PM Narendra Modi has called an emergency meeting of NDMA. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are present in this meeting. Rescue operations are being discussed in the meeting.

Earlier, the President of the country Ramnath Kovind expressed sorrow over the incident and said, 'I am saddened by the news of the gas leak near Visakhapatnam. My condolences to the families of the victims. I pray for the early recovery of the injured and the safety of all. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda said that it is very sad to hear about the tragedy. My deepest condolences to the families of the dead, I pray for the speedy recovery of all.

Nadda further said that I urge the party workers to follow the health protocol and provide all possible relief, keeping pace with the administration. Let us tell you that earlier Rahul Gandhi also appealed to Congress workers to help the suffering people.
