New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi said on Saturday that we should try to provide 'Ease of Doing Business to the citizens of the country to get 'Ease of Living' and international opportunities. On the inaugural session of the sixth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, PM Modi said that 'Ease of Living' is very essential to fulfill the aspirations of Indians and improve their standard of living.
PM Modi further said that we should remove the burden of government compliance on top of our citizens. Today is the era of technology, there is no need to ask for the same documents again and again. He urged the states to come forward and make a small team and work to minimize the burden of compliance on the citizens. He has given his instructions to the central government and the cabinet secretary of the government is working for it. This is very important for the 'Ease of Living' of the citizens of the country.
PM Modi further said that today due to corona, we have got an opportunity in the world. To take advantage of this opportunity, our effort should be 'Ease of Doing Business'. For this, we have to improve our laws and reform the systems. 'Ease of Doing Business' is very important to take advantage of India's global positioning and opportunity. He said that we are called agricultural countries, even after this, we import edible oil worth 65 to 70 thousand crores from abroad. This money can go into the account of our farmers. We just need to make plans for that. We used pulses and now it costs less to get pulses from abroad.
