Ahmedabad: The new government in the home state of Gujarat led by Vijay Rupani would take the oath of office and secrecy at a splendid ceremony in Gandhinagar in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and senior BJP leaders along with 18 chief ministers of NDA-ruled states.

Besides Rupani and his deputy Nitin Patel, a number of others are also likely to be sworn-in by Governor O P Kohli.

Prime Minister Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, chief ministers of all BJP-ruled states and those governed by NDA associates are present in the ceremony, Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani said.

Apart from Rupani and Nitin Patel, six to nine Cabinet and around 15 ministers of state are likely to swear in, saffron party sources informed.

Gujarat Governor Shri OP Kohli welcomed PM Narendra Modi to the airport Of Gujarat. The Prime Minister is to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed Council of Ministers of the Gujarat Government.

Vijay Rupani, 61,  is all set to swear in as Gujarat Chief Minister in the state capital Gandhinagar, in a ceremony that is the twin as a huge show of power by the BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who landed in Gandhinagar, is welcomed by party chief Amit Shah and all the BJP's chief ministers. Key BJP ally Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is also present in ceremony along with his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi.
