New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Thursday hit out at the opposition, which is obstructing the proceedings of Parliament, saying some people are indulging in political interests and doing things that seem to make them "self-goal." He said that today, 5th August has become very special.

PM Modi further said that this is 5th August when the country further strengthened the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat 2 years ago. On 5th August itself, article 370 of the Constitution was removed and every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir was made a full partner of every right, every facility. PM Modi said, "These people are trying to stop the development of the country, but this country is not going to stop them. They are trying to stop parliament, but 1.30 crore people are engaged in it without stopping the country."

"On the one hand, our country is scoring goals after the victory goal, while there are some people in the country who are doing things that seem to be self-goaling, PM Modi said in his address after launching a massive campaign through video conferencing to spread awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.''
