Shimla: PM Narendra Modi on Thursday (October 13) laid the foundation stone of a bulk drug park in the Una district during his visit to Himachal Pradesh. It will be built at a cost of over Rs 1,900 crore. Along with this, PM Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train from Una railway station. During this, the Prime Minister said I am very happy to announce gifts worth several thousand crores for Himachal Pradesh ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali. The pharma, education and rail projects taken up in Una, Himachal Pradesh will have a positive impact on the development of the region.

PM Modi said that his government is fulfilling the need of the people. The previous governments at the Center and Himachal Pradesh had failed to understand these. We are not only fulfilling the needs of the people of the 20th century but are also delivering the modern facilities of the 21st century to the doorsteps of Himachal. That is why today unprecedented work is being done for the development of Himachal. He further said that I have spent such a long time here that whenever I come to Una, old memories start roaming in front of my eyes. I have had the privilege of bowing my head before Maa Chintpurni Devi many times and getting her blessings. Today I have come here, there is also an event related to connectivity. Education is the work of the institution and it is also a big day for industrialization. Today work is being started on the second bulk drug park of the country at Una here.

He further said that the governments that were there earlier in Himachal and those who were sitting in Delhi were indifferent in fulfilling the needs of you people. They never understood your hopes and aspirations. I remember, what was the condition of Himachal, could not see the development anywhere. All around were the chasm of faith, the mountains of despair and the pits. They did not think of filling these pits. We filled those potholes and are now firmly constructing new buildings.
