New Delhi: Today, the entire nation is bowing down to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, founder of Azad Hind Hordes, on his 125th birth anniversary. The Government of India has announced to celebrate this day as Parakram Diwas. PM Modi will celebrate Parakram Diwas in Kolkata, where west Bengal assembly elections are proposed in the next few months.

PM Modi has paid homage to Netaji in a tweet this morning. In a tweet, PM Modi wrote, "The great freedom fighter and the true son of Bharat Mata, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, salutes him on his birth anniversary. The grateful nation will always remember their sacrifice and dedication to the freedom of the country." Though Netaji is being remembered all over the country, all eyes will remain on Kolkata today. Today, PM Modi and his opponent in politics, Mamata Banerjee of Bengal, can be on a platform.

In fact, on the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, both PM Modi and Mamata Banerjee will be in Kolkata today. Didi's morning is marching on foot. Subhas Chandra Bose was born at 12.30 pm, so Didi will start marching 8 kms at the moment. PM Modi will arrive in Kolkata from Assam at 3.30 pm. They will go to the National Library here. Will address a seminar at 4 pm. This will be followed by a cultural event on the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose at the Victoria Memorial at 4.39 pm.
