Hyderabad: The Supreme Court has ordered the formation of CCTV and monitoring committee across the state. 912 CCTV have been set up at The Police Commissionerate Stations in Cyberabad, Hyderabad and Rachkonda.

According to the information given by the Telangana police to the committee, there are 132 police stations in Hyderabad Police Commissioners. At the same time, there are 841 police stations in the entire Telangana state, of which 9,000 cameras have been installed.

As per the Supreme Court order, the Committee shall be constituted with the status of Home Secretary, Finance Secretary and Director General of Police or Inspector General of Police, as well as chairman or members of the State Women's Commission.

A senior Home Ministry official confirmed that a committee had been constituted. "The state government has appointed a monitoring committee to track CCTV in the state police stations. The matter was informed to the court.

In 2015, the Telangana government decided to set up CCTV at all police stations in the city for the revival of a huge police station.

So far, at every police station, outside the premises, at the entrance of the building, in the open hall, sub-inspectors sat down, kept CCTV lock-up and monitorwhat was going on inside. She went.

Efforts are being made to maintain CCTV presence in rural districts as there are not enough cameras to cover all the areas of the police stations, officials said.
